Otter’s AI Chatbot Helps You Stay Focused During Meetings
Otter.ai has recently introduced Otter Chat, an AI chatbot that is tailored for work meetings. This chatbot serves as a collaborative AI intelligence that assists all meeting participants by transcribing meeting data and condensing it into a comprehensible conversation. With this feature, it can provide precise answers to inquiries about the meeting that just occurred, even if you were preoccupied with other important tasks.
The cheekily named OtterPilot chatbot does more than just summarize meetings. It works with all attendees to create content based on meeting information, such as blog posts and follow-up emails. It’s kind of like an unpaid intern, but without the ability to go out and get coffee (yet). The company says this is a significant step up from platforms like ChatGPT, which derive information from public data, while Otter AI Chat sources data from actual team meetings. The toolkit is collaborative in nature, so the chatbot communicates with each team member simultaneously or individually. You can even ask a related bot to attend the meeting instead of you. This little robot also does the basic things that have made Otter.ai a popular destination for remote workers. It transcribes entire meetings, condenses content into an easy-to-digest format, creates lists of actionable items, and more.
Otter says its AI systems have already been used to transcribe more than a million words per minute, and more than a billion words since launching last year.
